A second jurisdiction in IURA
Starting today, IURA supports Dutch law. Statutes and regulations of the Netherlands can be searched on the platform and through the IURA MCP Server — exactly the way you have been searching Polish law from day one.
This is a moment we have been preparing for months. IURA started as an assistant for Polish law, but we have always built it as infrastructure that is not tied to a single jurisdiction. The Netherlands is the first step of that expansion.
What exactly is available?
- Search across Dutch law — consolidated texts of Dutch statutes (wetten), available through semantic search. Ask a question in natural language — in Dutch, English or Polish — and the system finds the relevant provisions.
- A new MCP tool — AI agents connected to the IURA MCP Server now have a dedicated tool for searching Dutch law. Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients can reach for Dutch statutes the same way they reach for Polish ones.
- Dutch-language interface — the IURA website and platform speak Dutch. So does the assistant.
- EU infrastructure — data stays on European servers, following the principle IURA has applied since day one.
The Dutch corpus is growing fast — we are indexing the national law currently in force, and coverage expands week by week. If something is missing in your area of practice, tell us — user requests shape our indexing priorities.
Why the Netherlands?
The choice was not accidental.
First, the Netherlands is one of the most international legal markets in Europe — home to hundreds of multinational companies, arbitration courts and institutions. The demand for fast, reliable access to the law is enormous.
Second, the Dutch civil-law system is structurally close to the Polish one. Our technology — text consolidation, semantic search, citations — transfers to it naturally.
Third, our users asked for it. Law firms and legal departments working across borders asked about the Netherlands more often than about any other jurisdiction.
One infrastructure, many jurisdictions
At IURA we believe the future of legal work with AI is not a separate tool for every country. It is a single infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the law — regardless of jurisdiction — always with a source attached.
Today that infrastructure covers Poland, the Netherlands and the sources of European Union law. Further jurisdictions — including Germany, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland — are on our roadmap.
